Charlie is Chairman of General Re Corporation, our parent company, and has more than 37 years of industry experience across the life & health and property & casualty insurance and reinsurance industries in the U.S., Europe and Australasia. Prior to joining Gen Re, Charlie held various senior vice president positions at AIG, Inc. in New York from 2007-2018, including as CEO of the Life, Health and Disability businesses, CEO of the Legacy Segment and Corporate Chief Actuary. From 2003-2007, Charlie was with the Munich Re Group in Munich and was the group’s first Chief Risk Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Macquarie University in New South Wales, Australia, and is a Fellow of The Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
